Tender description

Portsmouth City Council (the Authority) have been successful in securing Wave 2 funding as part of the Full Fibre Network Programme (LFFN) operated by the Broadband Development UK (BDUK) programme within the Department for Digital, Media, Culture and Sport (DCMS) to implement an Ultrafast Full Fibre Network throughout the City. The Authority intends to undertake individual market consultation discussions with suitably experienced suppliers, to explore options for the installation, maintenance and ongoing service management of full fibre networks from which a procurement strategy can be developed. The Authority intends to undertake a market consultation event with suitably experienced suppliers, to consider the options available from which a procurement strategy can be developed with a view to undertaking a procurement exercise in June/July 2018. The Authority is seeking to set up a framework to achieve the following outcomes: — installation and delivery of dark-fibre connections to public sector sites, — ongoing maintenance and service management of full-fibre network.
