Preparation of a Retail Strategy to form part of the Wexford County Development Plan 2019-2025, Retail GIS, Retail Policies and all associated survey work

Tender description

The project requires the preparation of a Retail Strategy for inclusion in the County Development Plan, a retail GIS, development plan policies and all associated survey and research work. It is intended that there will be one Retail Strategy for the County. While Local Area Plans will be prepared for each of the four main towns Wexford Town, Enniscorthy Town, New Ross Town and Gorey Town, they will not contain their own Retail Strategies and as such the County Retail Strategy must be sufficiently detailed to address retailing in each of these towns and the lower tier settlements in the Settlement Hierarchy. The work involves approximately 1000 surveys, the measuring of all retail floor space in the main centres of the County and requires projection of future required retail floorspace for the main towns. It also requires health check assessment in the settlements listed in the brief and the hosting of consultation events with stakeholders.
