PP18030 - Aldersley High School Expansion – Phase 1 - Alterations and refurbishment of existing school

Wolverhampton City Council are procuring on behalf of the Amethyst Academies Trust a suitable contractor to undertake alteration works to the existing school buildings at Aldersley High School as part of an expansion programme and these works shall include: 1. Removal of existing finishes including floor coverings and suspended ceilings and preparing to receive new; 2. Installation of new glazed partitions to the proposed layouts; 3. Forming openings and the provision of new doors; 4. The installation of new suspended ceilings; 5. Floor and wall finishes including re-decoration to existing areas; 6. Installation of new sanitary fittings and services; 7. Mechanical and Electrical Installations associated with the works; 8. External works comprising drainage and landscaping works. The tenderers are directed to the drawings to identify the exact nature and extent of the works. It should be noted that with reference to Sequence of Works that access from Monday 11th June 2018 will only be available to Block A, and Zones 5,6 on the first floor. Full access to all areas will be available from 23rd July 2018. It is the intended that a JCT Intermediate Contract 2016 will form the basis of the terms and conditions between the Amethyst Academies Trust and successful contractor and that the sucessful contractor shall have experience and knowledge of this form of contract. Please note that it is intended that a single contractor will be appointed to undertake all the required works.
