Museum Exhibition and Interpretation Consultancy for Hull: Yorkshire’s Maritime City (HYMC)

Hull City Council are now seeking Museum Exhibition & Interpretation Consultancy from suppliers that can provide a full design and NEC contract administration consultancy, around the renovation of the Grade II* listed Maritime Museum, the historic dry Docks at “North End Shipyard” including a new visitor orientation centre, and the refurbishment of two historic ships (The Arctic Corsair and the Spurn Lightship), and the way-finding landscaping between the two main sites. Work will be in conjunction with Hull Culture & Leisure staff, in particular the Curator of Maritime & Social History and the Conservation Architectural Team renovating, repairing and altering the buildings and the Landscape Architect remodelling the Queens Gardens area. The Team should be led by a suitably qualified and experienced Exhibition Designer and Interpretation Specialist and will work closely with the Principle Designer of the Multi-Disciplinary Design Team (MDT) to ensure full co-ordination of the designs and requirement, and all building risks are dealt with in accordance to the CDM regulations 2015, and a pre-construction phase Health and Safety file is compiled for a smooth handover to the construction phase and exhibition fit out phase.
