Summary of the work The developer will work on enhancement of existing Government Communication Services (GCS) Membership platform, which will include extending its People Finder tool to support new membership types. The developer will also carry out any outstanding backlog of work. Specialist role Developer Expected Contract Length 1 month Latest start date Monday 5 March 2018 Maximum Day Rate Up to £450/day Who Speclialist Work With You will be working with a multi-disciplinary team, mainly developers. What Specialists Work On Implement enhancement of existing Government Communication Services (GCS) Membership platform, including extending its People Finder tool, as well as tackling outstanding backlog of work. Skills & Experience • Minimum 4 years in a professional web development role. • Strong working knowledge of PHP5/PHP7 and OO PHP development. • At least 2 years of strong working knowledge of Laravel, including solid understanding of MVC and TDD. • Frontend UI development with Bootstrap, SASS and Gulp/Webpack. • Ability to present and communicate technical solutions to a technical and non-technical audience. • Experience of working with third-party APIs, including MailChimp/AWS SES. • Ability to take ownership of the entire development lifecycle, i.e. development and testing through to deployment. Nice to Haves • Experience working in government • 2 years experience of working in cloud based infrastructure using AWS. The role is outside of IR35. 3. Will you support a candidate through SC clearance? Supplier will be responsible for obtaining SC clearance, including the expenses. Buyer/We will not assist with any SC clearance process.
