Tender description

The Services of a consultant evaluator for a range of evaluation assignments is required. The assignments include technical support and evaluation expertise for the Evaluation and Audit Unit. Working under the direction of the Head of the Evaluation and Audit Unit, the appointee will be required, as and when necessary, to: • To provide technical support in the commissioning and management of various evaluations and studies • Provide technical and operational support to colleagues in the E&A Unit • Provide technical support to other DFAT business units in the planning and management of evaluations • To provide technical support for the planning and management of departmental Value for Money and Policy Reviews • Contribute to the identification of entry points for lesson-learning in Irish Aid supported initiatives and activities. • Work effectively with other members of the Evaluation and Audit to ensure a coordinated and effective evaluation and audit function that fully contributes to the enhancement of the Irish Aid Programme • Any other duties and assignments as required The nature and duration of assignments will be agreed with the E&A Unit after the selection of the consultant evaluator.
