Tender description

We invite tenders to supply a superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) magnetometer. This will form a significant investment as part of the creation of the Sir Henry Royce Institute in Materials Discovery at the University of Sheffield. The SQUID magnetometer will characterize a wide range of materials, including ferromagnetic and ferrimagnetic bulk, thin film, patterned array and nanoparticle samples, materials for nuclear waste immobilization, electroceramics, multiferroics, novel alloys and materials for nuclear fusion technology. This breadth of sample type dictates the requirement for a flexible system with a unique range of capabilities and recirculating cryogens. Delivery will be required between August and no later than the end of October 2018. Procurement of equipment.
