Highways Maintenance Team undertake a wide range of duties from daily highways maintenance to large scale carriageway and footway reconstruction works. This consists of flexible and ridged paving. The expectations for this framework is to provide support for the highways section to deliver projects to an high standard and within expected time scales. The framework will give providers on this framework contract the opportunity to become part of the highways maintenance teams main contractors and any work required will then be called off as a mini/ further competition and work be evaluated on price only from a cost based approach. Our definition of footway works: excavate existing ground of tarmac and or paving, excavate ground to specified construction depth, on a standard footway without vehicle access this would be to a depth of 135 mm. Any excavation will see spoil removed from site and tipped at the contractors expense. Provide and compact MOT Type 1 stone to a specified depth. Provide and lay 20 mm or 14 mm binder course dependant on agreement with site supervisor. Provide and lay 6 mm or 10 mm surface course dependant on agreement with site supervisor.
