Collection, transport and disposal of hospital waste

Tender description

General waste management comprising of collection, transportation, recycling where possible, or safe disposal from University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust sites. Scheduled and on request compactor, skip and 1100 litre wheelie bin collections, plus waste removal from site, and recycling or disposal of the following waste types: — Domestic/black bag waste. — Cardboard waste recycling. — Food/kitchen waste. — Mixed waste recycling. — Furniture waste/recycling. — Electrical waste. — Scrap metal waste. — Garden/building waste. — Confidential/paper waste. The issue of a possible future requirement, or the issue of an Invitation to tender, is not to be construed as a commitment by the Authority to place an order as a result of the tendering stage or at a later stage. Any expenditure, work or effort prior to any contract award is accordingly a matter solely for the commercial judgment of the potential supplier b) Subject to prior negotiation, the Authority reserves the right to add items of a similar nature to the Contract at a later date.
