Tender description

The Framework Agreement is for the provision of Tar-Macadam Materials / Asphalt Materials for the use of proactive and reactive maintenance of the highway network within the City of Stoke-on-Trent on a delivery and collection basis. It will cover the collection of Asphalt material Lot1 — North area and Lot 2 – Central /South area) from the Supplier’s Depot and also the delivery of Asphalt material (Lot3) by the Supplier to the Council. It is intended to place up to 2 companies onto each Lot. The Supplier must own and operate a depot within 10 miles of the boundary of the administrative area of Stoke-on-Trent. This is due to the nature of the material, the allocated daily work schedule and the need to be able to respond in an emergency situation. Therefore we will rank the Lot 1 and Lot 2 providers by locality of the collection point and for Lot 3 the ranking will be on price and availability at the time that order for delivered materials is required.
