Asbestos-removal work

Tender description

Sheffield Hallam University wishes to procure a measured term contract for the provision of Licensed Asbestos Removal Contractors. The intention is to select a maximum of 4 providers for to carry out the service. Sheffield Hallam University has numerous buildings containing asbestos and as such a contractor is to carry out to asbestos abatement and removal works. The provision of various asbestos abatement works inclusive of carrying out abatement works, providing the use of suitably trained and qualified subcontractors for ancillary builders work and services removal or installation and providing all associated management, certification and preliminary inclusions for the full completion of the works to the Sheffield Hallam University. This is under the JCT Minor Works contract or by use of a JCT Intermediate Form of Contract, amended as the Employer’s standard amendments. It is anticipated the University will call off contracts for an initial term of 3 years with further call offs to a maximum term up to 5 years.
