The FC seeks to contribute to this by restoring deep peatland habitats on the National Forest Estate in Scotland. There are 10 Lots in total, split into five Geographical areas (Forest Districts) and further split by 2 services. 1. Site Rewetting Works: Site modification works to interrupt existing forestry drainage patterns and influence site hydrology, for the purpose of mire restoration. Estimated value between 1 600 000 and 2 400 000. 2) Tree recycling Works: The recycling of failed forestry crops and/or naturally regenerated areas of woodland, for the purpose of mire restoration. Estimated value between 6 400 000 and 9 600 000. The FC seeks to contribute to this by restoring deep peatland habitats on the National Forest Estate in Scotland.
