Tender description

North Kirklees CCG are looking to pilot an enhanced community pain service. This pilot aims to test out service transformation and a new model of care for pain to see if it meets the needs of the North Kirklees population. The review of the pilot will inform future commissioning intentions. This notice is to advise that commissioners have agreed to enhance the contract with the current provider of community pain management services (Inhealth pain management solutions LTD) from 1.4.2018 to 30.9.2019. The current Tier 2 pain management service will be enhanced to include a Single point of access, an 18 hour pain management programme and X-ray guided injections in the community. During the term of the contract, commissioners are working to develop an integrated MSK and Pain management model that meets the latest NICE guidance and NHS England’s mandated framework. The pilot will be reviewed in 6 months and the outcome will inform the procured model. It is anticipated that the procurement opportunity will be published in September/October 2018.
