Tender description

The University of Portsmouth is looking to appoint a contractor to provide Security Guarding services across the University Campus. The Service Provider will provide a continuous presence on the University Campus. A Control Room within the Security Lodge supports Staff, including Supervisors who carry out Static, Reception and Mobile Security duties in addition to incident Management and investigation, safety and emergency response tasks. The University’s Security objective may be defined as: — the protection and wellbeing of all University Assets, Buildings, Material, Data, Intellectual Property, Reputation, Staff, Students and Visitors, — to minimise loss, damage or disruption to Academic activity in the event of any serious incident, however caused and restore the situation to business as normal as soon as practicable, — to identify new Security challenges as they appear and reactively modify Security Procedures to meet new threats or needs.
