Provision of Lunch Club Service

Tender description

The Council is seeking to award two contracts to one or more lead providers to deliver and manage lunch club services for older people in the London Borough of Hackney One contract will provide luncheon clubs to meet the culturally specific needs of the borough. The second contract will provide luncheon clubs that are open to all attendees regardless of their cultural background. The services will be aligned to meet the diverse needs of the borough, using the local voluntary and community sector to deliver the front line services. The clubs will aim to prevent older people becoming isolated and socially excluded and therefore delay or prevent people escalating to higher levels of need. This outcome fits into the duty placed upon Local Authorities under the Care Act 2014 with regards to the provision of preventative services. The two Lead Providers of these contracts will be responsible for the delivery of all Hackney funded luncheon clubs in the borough. The two contracts will bring together the luncheon club provision and improve the consistency of the offer for users across cultural groups while continuing to provide a service that is valuable to those who attend.
