Tender description
Low Vision Service Wales (LVSW) is a Welsh Government funded initiative provided by approximately 180 service accredited practitioners from over 190 community based Optometry practices across the whole of Wales. The scheme is managed and administered centrally through Hywel Dda Health Board offices in Carmarthenshire. As part of the service, LVSW accredited practitioners may prescribe handheld electronic magnifiers, also known as digital or video magnifiers, to patients where appropriate. It is Procurement Services intention to award a contract for the supply of these magnifiers on behalf of LVSW. The Contracting Authority is seeking to award a contract for a period of two years with the option to extend for an additional 2 years (1+1).
