National Fire Specific Operational Training Framework

Building upon the success of previous frameworks, Kent Fire and Rescue Service will be leading on a collaborative project to establish a UK wide framework for the provision of Fire Specific Training suitable for all UK Fire and Rescue Services. We are not aspiring to have a one size fits all and are looking to let a framework that is flexible and non-prohibitive for fire and rescue services to sign up to. There have been recent changes to the National Operational Guidance which provides Fire and Rescue Services with guidance about the operational tactics that should be used by firefighters. This guidance leads to improved consistency in operational policies and working practices of the Fire and Rescue Service at operational incidents. This Framework will build upon, and be aligned with this guidance to deliver a National Training Framework. UPDATE: Supplier engagement day to be held at Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service. 9th May 9.30am for a 10am start. Please message via the portal to express interest in attending with required number of attendees, limited to two per organisation. Confirmation must be received by Tuesday 12pm noon.
