Tender description

Liquid Composite Moulding (LCM) is one of the core competencies of the NCC and High-Value manufacturing in the UK. In this context, the NCC has identified a need to procure a High Temperature Resin Transfer Moulding (HTRTM) Capability. This shall directly support key manufacturing and research development programs, whilst widening the potential applicability of LCM processes to a wider range of components and environments. The capability includes: an injection machine, heated injection lines, a heated cavity mould tool, and a control system with an independent single Human Machine Interface (HMI). The procured injection equipment is capable of infusing preforms with single part resin systems at the conditions specified, in the dedicated HTRTM Heated RTM cavity tool. This will be integrated with the existing press capabilities. This capability is for small component, low volume research studies.
