Medway Council in partnership with NHS Medway CCG is issuing this Prior Information Notice to Providers of community equipment and related services to advice of its planned procurement intentions in relation to Medway Integrated Community Equipment Services. Medway Council is undertaking an assessment of the existing provision with a view to commencing a procurement exercise. Medway's community equipment service is currently under contract however the contracting authorities intend to re-procure the services through a tender process later this year. This notice is not a call for competition therefore providers are not expected to submit any documents. Further information relating to this procurement (particularly market engagement events and tender opportunities) will be published on Contracts Finder and the Kent Business Portal at a future date. Interested providers are advised to create a supplier profile on the Kent Business Portal to receive notifications. The purpose of the Medway Integrated Community Equipment Service is to obtain, deliver and install and maintain community equipment on loan to people living in the community. When the tender process commences, the Contracting Authorities will be looking for a provider capable of working with partner organisations across health and social care, to deliver a safe, effective and personalised community equipment and minor adaptations service to support people to remain in their own homes. Providers are welcome to express an interest in this opportunity.
