Local Healthwatch Service and Independent Complaints Advocacy (NHS Services) - Market engagement event

Tender description

The Health and Social Care Act 2012 makes provision (amongst other elements) for: • Healthwatch – This is a Government statutory mechanism to strengthen the collective voice of users of health and social care services and members of the public, both locally and nationally. • Local Authorities to make arrangements for the delivery of an Independent Complaints Advocacy service in relation to their area for complaints relating to the provision of health services (NHS Services). Dorset County Council in partnership with Bournemouth Borough Council, Borough of Poole and NHS Dorset, is leading a process to re-procure the above services which are required from 1 April 2019. It is planned to hold a market engagement event on Tuesday 1 May 2018 between 1.00pm and 3.00pm, which will be held either in Poole or Dorchester – confirmation to follow. Expressions of interest are sought from providers wishing to attend this event and you are asked to respond to adultscontractsteam@dorsetcc.gov.uk to register your interest, by Tuesday 24 April 2018. Please note, attendance will be limited to 2 people per organisation.
