Tender description

Provision of the Wakefield Special Educational Needs & Disability Information, Advice and Support Service (SENDIASS) and Local Offer. Contract duration: 24 months (with the option to extend twice, each time for a period of up to 12 months subjectto annual review of performance and availability of funding). Contract Period:1.4.2018 to 31.3.2020 (Maximum extension date 31.3.2022). Delivery of the Wakefield Special Educational Needs & Disability Information,Advice and Support Service (SENDIASS) and Local Offer. Overview. The Service will deliver two key elements; an Information, Advice and Support Service (SENDIASS), which incorporates additional local support services, (Resilience and Independence Workshops, Early Support for Families on the Diagnostic Pathway for ASD / ADHD and Short Term Keyworking for Families Requiring Co-Ordinated Support); and the Local Offer. Aims. The aim of the Service is to improve outcomes for parents / carers and children and young people aged 0-25years who have, or may have, SEN or disabilities, by providing impartial, accurate and confidential information, advice and support that is flexible and tailored to individual needs. The Service is an essential part of the delivery of a strengthened, coordinated and integrated Early Help Offer to prevent and intervene at the earliest opportunity to tackle emerging needs.
