Tender description

This is a Voluntary Ex Ante Transparency (VEAT) notice not a new tender opportunity. In 2015 the Forestry Commission awarded a contract to RGL (Moffat) Ltd for the removal of existing tree crop to be removed to allow the restoration of the lowland raised bog to be undertaken. The material left is the remnants following the ongoing harvesting operation on the Flanders Moss site in Cowal and Trossachs Forest District. Where all standing trees have been removed drain blocking will be undertaken to re-wet the site to allow habitat recovery. The tender was awarded following a competitive procedure in accordance with the Regulations at that time. The total value of the contract over the entire period, including any extension options was in the region of 500 000 GBP. This VEAT is to announce that the FC intends to increase the potential value of the contract by up to 34.4 ercent. There is no change to the contract duration ending August 2018.
