Who Speclialist Work With The specialist will work within a small mixed team of Civil Servants, military staff and contractors. What Specialists Work On Within ISS Service Performance, the HOUSEKEEPER Service Manager provides assurance that the contracted deliverables of the service’s Managed Service Provider are being met. The Service Manager will provide support to ensure that live services are being maintained, and will also be responsible for coordinating change activity and ensuring that live service risks and issues are escalated as required. The role will also liaise with the accreditor, and provide a focal point for the management of risk within the wider team. Where the Work Takes Place ISS, Building 405, Spur A1, Westwells Road, MOD Corsham, SN13 9NR Early Market Engagement Working Arrangements The role is office based within MOD Corsham, working a core 37 hour week. Some off-site visits to external stakeholders will be required, the majority being day trips although the occasional overnight stay might be required. Some flexible working is possible, and a MOD laptop can be made available to support an element of remote working provided business outputs are maintained. This will be at the discretion of the line manager. The position reports to the Senior Service Manager for deployed services (a C1 Civil Servant). Work Location ISS, Building 405, Spur A1, Westwells Road, MOD Corsham, SN13 9NR Security Clearance An SC security clearance is essential. Additional T&Cs Skills & Experience Must have a detailed knowledge of live service support of deployed CIS in an operational context. 40% Must have working knowledge of change management processes for deployed CIS. 20% Must have demonstrable experience as a risk practitioner and the use of Active Risk Manager. 15% Must have a detailed understanding of relevant security policies (e.g. JSP 440). 10% Must be able to represent MOD at governance meetings related to the service (e.g. chairing monthly management meetings and Change Advisory Board). 5% Nice to Haves ITIL Foundation 2.5% MSP Practitioner 2.5% MOR Practitioner 2.5% PRINCE2 Practitioner 2.5% No. of Specialists to Evaluate 3 Cultural Fit Criteria Work as a team with our organisation and other suppliers, especially in a mixed military/civilian environment Be transparent and collaborative when making decisions Have a no-blame culture and encourage people to learn from their mistakes Take responsibility for their work Share knowledge and experience with other team members Challenge the status quo Be comfortable standing up for their discipline Can work with clients with low technical expertise Assessment Method Evaluation Weighting Technical competence 60% Cultural fit 10% Price 30% Questions from Suppliers Budget range £900 per day ex vat £5.1k t&s lol (for travel that is required outside of travelling to corsham, wiltshire)
