Tender description

SPT has awarded a contract to Confidex Ltd for supply disposable ITSO certified smartcards in the types below. The Contract will be for 4 years with an option to extend for a further two years at the sole discretion of SPT. Ticket types will be ordered on a call-off basis as detailed below. The timing of each batch and the number of smartcards in the batches will be mutually agreed between SPT and the successful contractor and will be based on supply factors, and the predicted requirement for disposable tickets. The tickets will be ordered in the following quantities. There are three main tickets that we require and the call off volumes are below: — Ticket Type Call-off volumes, — Single Smart Ticket 1 500 000, — Roll of Single Smart Ticket 1 000 000, — Car Park Tickets 3 Fold 250 000. There are 15 stations on the Glasgow Subway, the system is based on ITSO smartcard technology and will use 2 forms of smartcards, disposables for single, return and all-day journeys and reusable for period passes and more expensive ticket products. The ticketing system is supplied by Scheidt and Bachmann. SPT is aiming to procure a contract to supply disposable ITSO certified smartcards in the types below. The Contract will be for 4 years with an option to extend for a further 2 years at the sole discretion of SPT. It is the intention of SPT to award this contract to a single supplier to ensure that all aspects of the commission are carried out in a seamless and co-ordinated manner with a single point of contact. A Contract to supply disposable ITSO certified smartcards in the types below. The Contract will be for 4 years with an option to extend for a further 2 years at the sole discretion of SPT. Patronage of the Subway is currently 13 000 000-14 000 000 passenger journeys per year. Growth is predicted at a rate of approximately 3% per year between 2017 and 2021. It is the intention of SPT to award this commission to a single supplier to ensure that all aspects of the commission are carried out in a seamless and co-ordinated manner with a single point of contact. Ticket types will be ordered on a call-off basis as detailed in below table. The timing of each batch and the number of smartcards in the batches will be mutually agreed between SPT and the successful contractor and will be based on supply factors, and the predicted requirement for disposable tickets.
