Supply and Management of Activated Carbon

Tender description

Southern Water are looking to contract with a supplier for the Supply and Management of Activated Carbon. The requirement will include both Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) and Powder Activated Carbon (PAC). Southern Water use GAC and PAC in the water treatment process to remove contaminants and impurities from the raw water to ensure that the final drinking water product is compliant with Water Quality Standards and DWI Regulations. Southern Water has 64 absorber beds across 17 sites in Kent, Sussex and Hampshire (including the Isle of Wight). Southern Water’s total absorber bed capacity is approx. 3000m³ Southern Water intend to pre-qualify suppliers using Achilles UVDB. This is pre-market engagement only, the tender process will commence on the release of a contract notice which will be published in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU).
