Supply and Installation of GM Connected Wayfinding Products

GM Connected Wayfinding is an initiative to provide a wayfinding system for Greater Manchester. The ambitions for this proposal extend across the urban environment, across all modes, supporting ease of modal interchange and onward journey planning from the beginning to the end of a journey. Following completion of a design solution progressed by TFGM, Manchester City Council and other stakeholders (initially for Phase 1 - GM Connected), TfGM are now procuring a framework agreement (single supplier) for the supply and installation of the physical products (arrival displays and static totems), to be located at strategic nodes and removal of existing street furniture ('decluttering'). This framework agreement will have an initial call-off for GM Connected that is intended to deliver Phase 1, and the instruction of other subsequent phases and/or requirements during the term will be subject to funding. A single contractor is to be appointed under the framework with a call-off arrangement, using agreed terms and rates for different phases and elements required over the term of the framework agreement. This will ensure consistency of design and approach. The contractual arrangement is also intended to be made available for use by other authorities who may require works to be delivered via the framework subject to availability of funding.
