Tender description

The Natural Environment Research Council, as the contracting Authority, are putting into place a contract for the purchase of a Containerised Multi Sensor Core Logging System. Construction has begun on the RRS Sir David Attenborough — one of the most advanced polar research vessels in the world. From 2018 scientists researching oceans, ice and atmosphere will have access to state-of-the-art facilities on this floating laboratory. The RRS Sir David Attenborough has a requirement for a 20ft ISO based containerised multi sensor core logging system. The container will provide a temperature controlled environment to ensure that the data is captured correctly whilst processing cores at sea. The core logging system must be able to operate at sea in challenging environmental conditions and rough seas.
