RECONSTRUCTION OF THE STADIUM FOOTBALL PITCH at Ballymena Showgrounds - Re issue

Tender description

The work proposed in this specification shall be as follows: PART A EARTHWORKS, DRAINAGE INSTALLATION, IRRIGATION AND ESTABLISHMENT  Spray off and remove existing vegetation.  Strip topsoil and store on site.  Site remodelling via balanced cut and fill earthworks to create new levels.  Replacement of existing topsoil.  Stone picking, cultivation and grading of topsoil.  Importation, placement and amelioration of approved sand  Installation of a piped drainage scheme at 4 m centres.  Installation of sand slits at 1 m centres.  Final grading.  Fertilisation and seeding.  Installation of automatic irrigation system, including tank.  Supply and install portable synthetic run-offs. PART B INITIAL AGRONOMIC MAINTENANCE – 12 MONTHS  Mowing.  Fertiliser application.  Aeration.  Irrigation application.  Overseeding.  Herbicide (if required).  Pesticide/Fungicide application (if required). These specifications relate to the earthworks, drainage and pitch improvement works only. These specifications do not include provision for site security such as fencing and gates etc. The contractor will be required to provide all temporary fencing to ensure site security and protect the public. Please refer to the Schedule of Drawings (Table 1) for earthworks, pipe sizes and layout.
