Tender description

The Infrastructure Monitoring Vehicle (IMV), and associated Specialist Measuring Equipment (SME) are vital to Crossrail for it continued ability to operate a safe, reliable service on the Central Operating Section, whilst minimizing maintenance access requirements. The IMV is specified to meet Crossrail needs carrying a wide range of SME to measure and monitor specific elements of the infrastructure, meeting Crossrail specific Technical Requirements Specifications (TRS). The IMV carrier vehicle will run in consist with the existing Yellow Plant. The SME will be required to conduct its operation during operational hours wherever possible. Lot 2 — Track Visual Defect Detection System and associated equipment, capable of detecting faults on plain line and switches and crossings traditionally detected using “Basic Visual Inspection” track patrols. The equipment is likely to consist of high resolution camera equipment and defect recognition software capable of recognizing fault conditions based on comparison to known fault and non-fault conditions.
