Tender description

The Infrastructure Monitoring Vehicle (IMV), and associated Specialist Measuring Equipment (SME) are vital to Crossrail for it continued ability to operate a safe, reliable service on the Central Operating Section, whilst minimising maintenance access requirements. The IMV is specified to meet Crossrail needs carrying a wide range of SME to measure and monitor specific elements of the infrastructure, meeting Crossrail specific Technical Requirements Specifications (TRS). The IMV carrier vehicle will run in consist with the existing Yellow Plant. The SME will be required to conduct its operation during operational hours wherever possible. Lot 9: Fit Out and System Integration of the IMV: — Physical installation of the Specialist Measuring Equipment awarded in Lots 1 to 8 onto the Carrier Vehicle. — Power distribution. — Provision of a secure enclosure on the vehicle deck. — Synchronisation equipment to enable measuring equipment to be used in combination to diagnose faults. — Provision of equipment to locate the vehicle on the infrastructure. — Approvals and authorisation for the modified vehicle including. —— Compliance with mandatory standards. —— Demonstration of compatibility with the Crossrail infrastructure. —— Demonstration of safety through the Common Safety Method for Risk Evaluation and Assessment.
