Provision of Secure Collection & Delivery of Documents and Parcels

Tender description

The DVLA requires a Courier Service to transport, under secure conditions, a range of products both to and from its main sites at Swansea to locations around the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland. Collections and deliveries will also occur between many of these locations and offices. There will however be numerous delivery points classed as ad hoc locations for DVLA and its customers. The range of products may include but is not limited to: Media discs Documentation Letters Files Trade plates Parcels Pallets - Only standard European pallets 1200mm x 1000mm will be used. The contractor shall be able to provide a pallet distribution service. This must be a next day service throughout UK mainland excluding Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland where a 2 to 3 day service is required. The contractor should also be able to provide or have access to an international delivery service mainly around Europe but other destinations could be required.
