Tender description

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust are seeking bids for the provision of a Microbiology Managed Service. The trust is taking a lotted approach to the process with submissions sought for: 1 — Managed Service Provider; 2 — Blood Culture machine; 3 — Urine Analysis; 4 — Sensitivity Testing; 5 — Culture Media; 6 — Molecular Extraction Platforms The managed service provider will be required to manage third party providers in the areas listed above. It is anticipated that additional product areas including the following will form part of the service during the contract period: — mycobacteria, — enteric Screening, — other pre-analytics, — analytics, — general Consumables, — sexually transmitted pathogen detection, — molecular assays to detect blood borne pathogens from nucleic acid extracts for human in vitro diagnostics, — automated serology immunoassays, — HPV molecular testing, — new developments. NUH is seeking a provider with in-depth experience in the Microbiology market who will be able to support the optimisation of services. The Managed Service Partner will be able to demonstrate commitment to support excellence with a view to adding value. The Provider will be required to manage all third party suppliers and will have an evidenced and documented approach to managing supplier performance to ensure continual delivery of the service. Provision of blood culture analysers, reagents, consumables and maintenance to form part of a larger Microbiology Managed Service Contract. Provision of urine screening systems including analysers, reagents, consumables and maintenance to form part of a larger Microbiology Managed Service Contract. Provision of an antimicrobial sensitivity testing solution including, reagents, consumables and maintenance to form part of a larger Microbiology Managed Service Contract. Provision of culture media to form part of a larger Microbiology Managed Service Contract. Provision of a Total Nucleic Acid Extraction Platform including equipment, consumables, reagents and maintenance to form part of a larger Managed Service Contract.
