Tender description
The trust wishes to identify a partner to form a commercial relationship with, in relation to the delivery of NHS funded and privately funded assisted conception and embryology services. The Trust has not, at this stage, identified a particular commercial relationship for the future of the assisted conception unit (ACU) and therefore wishes to engage with the market in order to identify a solution which best meets the trust’s needs and requirements. The trust is therefore open to considering solutions proposed by potential partners which may include (without limitation) corporate joint venture, contractual joint venture, full outsourcing, revenue sharing arrangements and /or a contract for services. The partner will need to demonstrate experience and expertise in the provision of assisted conception services and economic and financial standing to meet the capital costs required to meet any proposed solution. The trust wishes to identify a partner to form a commercial relationship with, in relation to the delivery of NHS funded and privately funded assisted conception and embryology services. The core needs and requirements of the trust are as follows and the trust anticipates that these will form part of the commercial relationship formed with a partner: - A partner to deliver NHS and private patient assisted conception services;- A partner to deliver the full embryology service; The development of the ACU facility and an embryology lab for delivery of both NHS and private services; and Marketing and promotion of the ACU service and growth of the ACU business. The trust is not fixing the duration of the arrangement and this will be an area for negotiation. The trust does however envisage a medium to long term arrangement of approximately 7-10 years in duration. It is not currently know what the value of the commercial relationship will be to the trust and its chosen partner. This will be an area for negotiation and will depend upon the structure of the final arrangement and bids submitted.
