Summary of the work The design/solution must be secure with no possibility patient information is accessed by external parties. Must meet NHS Standards for network connectivity, security/IG. It must include a fault reporting mechanism providing information on how the proposed solution recovers from a network and power interruption, without human intervention, retaining configuration/state information. Expected Contract Length To finish by 31/09/2018 Latest start date Monday 19 March 2018 Budget Range Up to £148k - capped and inclusive of VAT, mileage and expenses Why the Work is Being Done To migrate NHS General Practices to Cloud based Active Directory platform. The scope of work include design, provision of migration approach and migration of some or all NHS General Practices onto a Cloud based Active Directory platform. The supplier will ensure that target architecture and platform is in line with NELCSU strategic architecture and standards. Problem to Be Solved Across the Kent and Medway majority of server platforms in GPs currently are Windows Server 2012. Each GP operates its own independent network and authentication service – predominantly via a local Active Directory and a number of workgroups. This is difficult and expensive to manage, support, and maintained The team should include a Design Architect and a minimum of 2 Engineers with relevant experince Further, it cannot support the ambition of CCGs and GPs to work together to improve the provision of clinical services. Who Are the Users Users in NHS General Practices are the focus, and they need the following. 1. Cloud based Active Directory offering centralised AD, file services, centralised data backup and rationalisation of applications. 2. Ability to report on leavers and inactive accounts. 3. Reliable, robust and scalable design and solution [allowing for growth] as the size and volumes of data sent/received will not be known.
