Tender description

The equipment will be used in the AFRC workshop area in the development of composites machining processes. The main purpose for this piece of equipment is to develop these machining processes across multiple sectors and commodity types, including, large free form aerospace, renewables and motor sport components. The machine will be used in a non-production, R and D environment, and will require a high level of accuracy, to meet industrial partners’ and external customers’ requirements. The supplied system must comprise of all machine elements, inclusive of all necessary tanks, pumps, heat exchangers and control elements. Access to the work area and tooling will be required to allow measurement of key process variables during running of the machine. All oil for hydraulics, lubrication and coolants to enable the initial operation of the machine post-commissioning/handover must be included. Compliance with all relevant EU health and safety standards is mandatory and the equipment and any ancillaries must be CE approved. Tenderers should note the criteria for Part 4C.1.2 Services in the ESPD, contained in the Qualification envelope of PCS-T, also detailed below. Bidders will be required to provide 2 examples that demonstrate that they have the relevant experience to deliver the services / supplies as described in Part II.2.4 of this OJEU Contract Notice.
