Integrated Sexual Health service for Herefordshire

Tender description

Herefordshire Council currently commissions an Integrated community-based sexual health service encompassing 3 levels of prevention and self-management service; basic and intermediate (level 1 and 2) and specialist service (level 3). The contract for this service ends on November 30 2018. The role of the Sexual Health service will be to ensure a countywide provision inclusive of the use of online screening focussing on prevention and the promotion of safe and healthy lifestyle choices in relation to sexual health. The service will also target vulnerable and high risk groups across the county to provide better access to key services such as contraception, long acting reversible contraception LARC, STI testing and treatment and emergency hormonal contraception (EHC) The annual budget for this service is expected to be between £1 - £1.1 million. Please note: this is a market test exercise and we are exploring the extent and location of suitable and available services as well as the extent of suitably qualified and experienced service providers.
