Tender description

The University will shortly be tendering for insurance policy cover for a proportion of its insurance portfolio. It is anticipated that the tender will be split into Lots including but not necessarily limited to: — Lot 1 Material damage /Business interruption, Contract works (Contractors all risks) — Lot 2 Combined liability (Employers Liability and Public / Products Liability) — Lot 3 Professional Indemnity — Lot 4 Directors and officers liability — Lot 5 Crime — Lot 6 Personal Accident / Business Travel — Lot 7 Motor Fleet — Lot 8 Computers — Lot 9 Property Owners. It is anticipated that the full Contract Notice and tender details will be released week commencing 2.4.2018. This is a voluntary Prior information notice in order to notify interested parties that an Insurer Open day will be held at the University of Warwick on 11.4.2018. In order to attend the Open day, eligibility criteria must be met. Should this criteria not be met, you will not be eligible to attend the Open day or tender for the contract. Eligibility criteria will be fully detailed within the University’s tender documentation upon release however interested parties should note that this will include (but may not be limited to): 1. A current Financial Strength rating of no less than "A-" from Standard and Poor’s, AM Best or an equivalent ratings agency from insurers responding or underwriters providing capacity to a Managing general agent or Discretionary mutual. 2. Having met this rating, in order to attend the Open day, the University will require a signed and returned University of Warwick non disclosure agreement prior to attendance. 3. Tender is open to Insurers and Managing general agents and Discretionary mutuals only. Insurance brokers need not apply. lease note that additional mandatory requirements for participation in the tender may apply as may be disclosed within the University’s tender pack. Attendance at the Open day does not represent any confirmation from the University that the full mandatory requirements for participation have been met. The University is not a Contracting Authority for the purposes of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (as amended) and its procurement activities are not subject to the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 or the obligations under the European public procurement directives, including the European remedies directive. This is a voluntary notice only. Further information will be provided in the forthcoming voluntary Contract notice and the University's invitation to tender document pack.
