Tender description

Our Early Years Service (EY) is responsible for securing sufficient good quality childcare for 0-4 yrs old, and ensuring support and development of potential, new and existing providers in Cambs. We're required to improve outcomes for young children and their families, focusing on those from disadvantaged backgrounds, Childcare Act 2006, so children are equipped for life and school, no matter their circumstances. We seek to facilitate sharing of expertise amongst providers to improve quality. To support and develop childminders, we're commissioning a service to provide the following: Advice, support and training on recruitment and prior to initial Ofsted visit; Support and challenge to deliver high quality EY Foundation Stage provision in line with Ofsted standards; Generic support, especially to develop new places in areas of need, and including support surgeries; Collaborative working to support safeguarding.
