Network Rail is publishing a Prior Information Notice to make all potential vendors aware of the Network Rail intention to run procurement exercise and to subsequently award a Design Services Framework over the next 5 to 8 years, predominantly in line with NR's Control Period 6 (2019-2024) and partially into Control Period 7 (2024-2029). This Procurement activity will be divided into lots, further details to be confirmed in the ITT. This Procurement activity will be divided into lots, further details to be confirmed in the ITT. The aim of the Framework is identify organisations that have the right culture, behaviours and ethics and are committed to delivering a safer, sustainable, better performing and more efficient railway. To address the challenges of CP6 we need to develop our supply chain and work with organisations that demonstrate our values and are equally committed to delivering this message with their peers and their own supply network. The services from the third party organisation(s) against this framework will be split into lots and will include but not be limited to: — National Multi Service Provision of all Disciplines listed below, — Single Discipline provision for each of our 4 Regions as follows: —— Signalling / Train Control; —— Telecoms including Construction Industry Scheme (CIS); —— Electrification and Plant — Contact Systems; —— Electrification and Plant — Distribution Design; —— Electrification and Plant — Plant; —— Buildings and Architecture; —— Geotechnical; —— Civil and Structural; —— Environment and Consent. To provide further information regarding this opportunity and to seek assistance from the supply market to inform the composition of the framework, a supplier event has been scheduled for 11.4.2018 in Birmingham (venue to be confirmed). The tender period including pre-qualification is expected to be from May 2018 — December 2018. Failure to respond to this expression of interest will not disqualify suppliers from any future tender. Any information shared by suppliers at this event will not form part of the tender evaluation. Expressions of interest in this Notice will not be a guarantee of being included in the tender list, this will formed after a separate pre-qualification exercise in compliance with the Utilities Contracts Regulations 2016.
