Tender description

Our Early Years Service (EY) is responsible for securing sufficient good quality childcare for 0-4 yr olds, & ensuring support & development of potential, new & existing providers in Cambs. We're required to improve outcomes for young children & their families, focusing on those from disadvantaged backgrounds, Childcare Act 2006, so children are equipped for life & school, no matter their circumstances. We seek to facilitate sharing of expertise amongst providers to improve quality. To support & develop childminders, we're commissioning a service to provide the following: Advice, support & training on recruitment & prior to initial Ofsted visit; Support & challenge to deliver high quality EY Foundation Stage provision in line with Ofsted standards; Generic support, especially to develop new places in areas of need, & including support surgeries; Collaborative working to support safeguarding.
