Ammonia patterns to 2030

Tender description

The Authority is looking for suppliers for the implications for habitats and mitigation measures on expected Ammonia patterns to 2030. Funding has been sought to ensure that: • The evidence base on impacts of ammonia from air pollution upon ecosystems is brought up to date and used to predict the likely outcome of policies to reduce emissions. • The applicability and practicality of ammonia mitigation measures is understood, with input from relevant stakeholders including those not currently considering mitigation measures. • Future plans for measures consider the changing agricultural policy landscape and potential for new ways of working with emissions producers. • The best available understanding of likely and business-as-usual emissions scenarios such that, ammonia emissions, concentrations, ammonium deposition and its likely impact on designated sites at 2020 and 2030 is understood. • Consequences of emissions changes on a range of scales and to a range of environments is probed to inform the targeting of policy. This includes an understanding of how measures might be implemented on a local level and issues foreseen.
