Please NOTE: This tender will close for the receipt of bids on Wednesday 1st Nov 2017 at 14.00 BST The National Satellite Test Facility (NSTF) is a new facility for the environmental testing of complete satellites at the STFC's Rutherford Appleton Laboratory. To assist the Project, STFC intends to procure facility development support, which will encompass a variety of work packages including requirements review, equipment selection support, commissioning and training development. Our Customers Growing from a foundation of supporting the Research Councils, 2012/13 saw Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) transition their procurement to UK SBS and Crown Commercial Services (CCS - previously Government Procurement Service) agree a Memorandum of Understanding with UK SBS to deliver two major procurement categories (construction and research) across Government. UK SBS currently manages £700m expenditure for its Customers. From the 2nd April 2014 the Government is introducing its new Government Security Classifications (GSC) classification scheme to replace the current Government Protective Marking Scheme (GPMS). A key aspect of this is the reduction in the number of security classifications used. All potential suppliers should make themselves aware of the changes as it may impact on this Requirement.
