Tender description

AHDB require a representative to maintain contact and work jointly with beef and lamb exporters, agents, other representatives, importers, distributors, food service operators and retailers within the Italian and Maltese market. The representative will be expected to: — Liaise with Italian authorities and UK overseas authorities such as DIT, Embassies, Consulates and the High Commission Malta. — Develop and deliver a yearly plan, deliver Market Intelligence on the Italian market by means of monthly activity and market reports. — Liaise with UK-based AHDB export team. — Develop PR and advertising plans. — Representation on the Maltese market, including yearly visits and/or organisation of an event. — Additional representation on the Italian-Swiss market (or possible overall Swiss market). The contract is for 3 years with a break clause after each year. The successful representative must live or have a commercial office in Italy or Switzerland. AHDB Exports is looking for an Italian/English speaking representative to develop the Italian, Swiss and Maltese market for British lamb and beef. The successful representative will have the expertise and experience to identify the right priority markets, and ability to devise the best local strategies to achieve effective market growth for British lamb and beef in the Italian, Swiss and Maltese market. The contract will be for 3 years with a break clause after each year. The successful applicant will be fluent in Italian and English, and must reside or have a commercial office based in either Italy or Switzerland.
