Hertfordshire County Council (the Council) is tendering to deliver a Community HIV Support Service in Hertfordshire The primary aim of the Service is to provide assessment, co-ordination and advocacy for those whose social concerns would otherwise impair their adherence to Antiretroviral Therapy (ART). These main aims can be categorised as: — Increasing awareness of HIV, and the accessibility of mainstream community services for people with the condition by supporting organisations and reducing stigma - Providing short term practical and emotional support for people diagnosed with HIV, and their carer / family — Providing longer term support for ‘complex’ individuals (and their family / carer), triaging to appropriate services — Proactively identifying individuals who may benefit from the Service, ensuring the Service is accessible, flexible and appropriate for the demography of Hertfordshire The estimated total value of the Contract is stated in II.1.5 of this notice and is for the initial term inclusive of the approximate value for extension. For the avoidance of doubt, the estimated annual value of the Contract will be 870 620 GBP. The current annual budget is 174 124 GBP. The initial term of this contract is two (2) years and eight (8) months with a possible extension of up to a further two (2) years at the Council's discretion. Organisations should be aware that due to the nature of the Services provided, any Contract formed as a result of this procurement process shall be executed as a deed.
