This advert is intended to notify potential suppliers of the current tender opportunity for Metz Way to Abbeymead Corridor Improvements. The scheme involves highways and signals improvements to 8 separate site locations along the Metz Way to Abbeymead route corridor including the busy Eastern Avenue/Metz Way junction. The works will include; • Modification of highway alignment at Eastern Avenue and North Upton Lane; • Diversions of statutory undertakers plant; • Traffic signals refurbishment; • Upgrading of pedestrian crossings; • Improvements to cycleways; • Street lighting upgrades by the Employers Electrical Specialist. Works estimate is £1,250,000 Tender period from 29th March to 08th May 2018 Anticipated Works Start Date 25th June 2018 Completion 30th November 2018 Overall Duration – 23 weeks The procurement route will be a single stage (sub-OJEU Open Procedure) using the NEC3 ECC form of Contract, Option A Priced Contract with Activity Schedule.
