Tender description

The All Wales Genetics Laboratory wishes to award a contract for the supply, installation and maintenance of two laboratory robots including associated consumables. The robots are required to automate Next Generation Sequencing protocols. These techniques are currently performed manually, automation would improve throughput, reduce risk of error and increase efficiencies in services provided. Automation of current protocols will create efficiencies allowing the Laboratory to take on development of new services to meet the clinical demand. It will allow the Laboratory to remain competitive with other NHS Laboratories providing similar services.
