The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking to appoint a Service Provider to provide an Energy Advice Service to Council Tenants. The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking to appoint a Service Provider to provide an Energy Advice Service to Council Tenants. The Energy Advice Service will provide face-to-face advice and support to Council Tenants on a range of energy-related issues including: — energy bills, debt and tariffs, — advocacy with utility companies and the Ombudsman in complex cases, — accessing discounts and grants, such as the Warm Home Discount, — an assessment of energy use in the home, — dampness and condensation, — signposting and referral to other support services where a need is identified. Advisors will be required to proactively engage with the local community, meet with groups, attend appointments at Tenants’ homes and attend community events. Advisors will be based in the Council’s locality offices and will also provide coaching support to Council Housing Officers to help them identify and signpost Council Tenants in need of advice.
