Benhall Mill Road - Site Clearance

Tender description

Tunbridge Wells Borough Council is inviting tenders from suitably experienced contractors for the clearance of its Benhall Mill Road site. The site contains storage buildings used as a depot for the cemetery and as a store for other lessees from time to time as granted by The Council. The site has an area of 0.52 Hectares, and the location is shown on the map in appendix A. The Council are considering developing the land for housing and the clearance of the surplus soil, vegetation and accumulation of materials across the site over many years is required in order to enable further site investigation of below ground conditions and topography. The site is NOT consecrated, however there are records showing that 16 graves lie within the site. See layout in appendix A. Clearance of vegetation and materials in the vicinity of the existing graves will require care and supervision with no reduction of existing ground levels in these areas. Inspections of the depot for pricing purposes are only allowed with prior consent and with a representative of TWBC in attendance.
