Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) and the Association of Irish Racecourses (AIR) on behalf of the 26 Irish Racecourses (Contracting Authorities) have identified the need for a Wide Area Network (WAN) encompassing the 26 Race Course sites and a data centre site. Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) and the Association of Irish Racecourses (AIR) on behalf of the 26 Irish Racecourses (Contracting Authorities) have identified the need for a Wide Area Network (WAN) encompassing the 26 Race Course sites and a data centre site. The data centre will house whatever central equipment is required for the wifi service and provide Internet breakout. It is the intention to implement the solution across all 26 sites. HRI / AIR on behalf of the Contracting Authorities also requires an optional managed service for the WAN. This service will be a complete turnkey service to monitor and manage the WAN on behalf of HRI / AIR. HRI/ AIR on behalf of the Contracting Authorities also requires an optional Tier 3 Co-Location Hosting facility for the WAN ‘head-end’ with space for equipment required for the Wi-Fi service head-end equipment and Internet connectivity.
