Tyre and Ancillary Services Procurement

Tender description

Tenders are invited for the provision of for the management of the Councils' fleet tyres including the supply of vehicle tyres and related, ancillary products and services for a variety of local-authority vehicles. A complete definition of the required products and services are defined in the procurement documents. Services include, but are not limited to: (a) ensuring that vehicles are in a safe and legally compliant condition at all times (in respect of tyres and ancillary components); (b) attending to vehicle breakdowns resulting from tyre faults and rectifying these faults; and (c) rectifying any damage consequent to tyre faults such as punctures; and (d) monitoring tyre condition for wear and damage on a routine basis; and (e) supplying and replacing tyres which have reached or are nearing the end of their usable life; and (f) carrying out any ancillary (to tyres) services required such as: • tyre disposal • tyre valve and valve extension replacement • wheel balance • calibration and adjustment of vehicle tracking • turn on the rim and twinning • tyre re-treading and grooving • fitting wheel nut indicators or ring clips as required by the Councils
